W&W

After meeting up in 2007, Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst came together to form W&W and haven’t looked back since. The Dutch DJ and production duo have transcended the boundaries of genres and traversed the world with their globally acclaimed music and iconic live performances, becoming one of the most sought-after duos the world of electronic music has to offer. Known for their energetic music and energetic festival sets, W&W have been dominating dance floors and festivals across the globe for years on end. Voted #18 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll in 2022, and keeping their spot in the Top 20 for the last 9 years. They continually perform at leading festivals all over the globe like Tomorrowland, Ultra, EDC, Creamfields and more, as well as headlining their own tours worldwide: even breaking the world record in China playing 24 shows in 27 days. Always looking to fuse styles and merge influences, W&W are known for combining the uplifting and melodic elements of Trance with the raw intensity of Electroand Progressive House, creating a unique and rebellious sound that is undoubtedly their own. From early works such as the synth-driven ‘Moscow’, the legendary ‘Bigfoot’ to recent crowd favorites such as ‘God Is A Girl’, ‘Long Way Down’ and ‘Rave Culture’, their productions are championed by fans and artists alike for their magnitude, diversity and massive appeal to multiple audiences. Their newer tracks such as ‘Skydance’ and ‘Come With Me’, encompass an even wider variety of tasteful genres, inspired by euro-dance and happy hardcore. Also known for their outstanding reworks, they’ve taken classic tracks such as ‘Dragostea Din Tei’ and ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’ and put their own personal spin on the records, giving them that signature W&W sound. W&W continue to prove their status as innovators and tastemakers in the scene under their alias NWYR, where they release blistering productions and live sets from their trance-inspired roots. They also curate music for their community-driven label, Rave Culture, which includes hosting their own bi-weekly radio show on various broadcasting stations, which has gained them over 300,000 listeners per show with extensive coverage. Cementing their place among dance music’s top acts, W&W were the first-ever act to perform an XR augmented reality livestream back in 2020. The success of this stream allowed for the growth of their concept Rave Culture Live, an episodic event taking place at their custom-designed AI venue known as Club Mythic. Reaching hundreds of thousands of fans when events were shut down, W&W created a platform to showcase their skills in DJ’ing and productions for everyone to see. Clocking in over 60 shows a year, and racking up over 10 million followers across social media platforms, there is no doubt that W&W are pioneers in the main stage electronic dance music scene. Now shifting into a new phase with a tidal wave of fresh productions and incinerating live sets, the rise of their Rave Culture label and the impact of their NWYR alias, W&W are transcending boundaries in their own, signature style and never looking back.
